KidzWish produces the biggest Christmas party of its kind in Regional Australia.
On Thursday 24 November 2011, the WIN Entertainment Centre was filled to capacity with 3,500 smiling faces as they enjoyed one of their favourite days of the year, The Stockland KidzWish Christmas Party for Special Children.
It's a day for all local sick, disabled and disadvantaged children here in the Illawarra, where they get to spend a day with all their special friends from around the region, which they will remember forever!
The KidzWish Foundation, Executive Director Chris Beaven said: “Special children can face continual challenges every day. Despite their difficulties, they have an attitude that is an inspiration to everyone they meet. Their passion is infectious and although we can't always extend the life of every child, we can always do our part to bring them love and laughter.”
In 2011, the audience enjoyed a Mary Poppins Stage Adaption and entertainment from Yo Gabba Gabba, Jess and Jack from Stockland, Ronald McDonald and a visit from Santa Claus.
“Children look forward to it all year because they get lunch courtesy of McDonalds, an amazing toy from Santa, a Stockland goodie bag, an ice-cream and fantastic entertainment” says Mrs Beaven.
Children will came from local schools with special classes and underprivileged schools, as well as from other charities including Barnados, Salvation Army, Care South, Aboriginal Foster Home, Autism Spectrum Australia and Wollongong Emergency Family Services to name a few.

The 2011 Stockland KidzWish Christmas Party for 3,500 Special Children is an amazing event that these special children and their families look forward to each year.
