The 2011 KidzWish Party Cruise proudly supported by NAB was an amazing event where over 50 sick, disabled and disadvantaged children travelled to Sydney for an experience of a life time.
On Tuesday 18 Ocotober 2011, local special children spent a fantastic day cruising on Sydney Harbour. The children look forward to the KidzWish Party Cruise all year and in 2011, NAB funded the cruise, keeping this dream alive.
KidzWish invited many of the special children in the region, including special needs students from Peterborough and Para Meadows Schools, some of whom have never had the opportunity to take the journey around Sydney Harbour and children who attend the KidzWish Music and Dance Program for Special Children and the KidzWish Junior Roller Hawks Academy.
The 2011 KidzWish Party Cruise proudly supported by NAB was a day filled with lots of ‘Love and Laughter’ with lots of fun and entertainment for the special children including face painting, dancing and craft.
The theme for the day was ‘Wild Wild West’, giving the special children the opportunity to dress up as Cowboys, Cowgirls and Indians.
KidzWish General Manager Simon Davie said KidzWish is a self funded organisation, depending completely on the generosity of individuals and organisations like NAB to help bring a ray of light to special children with significant challenges.”
NAB Senior Partner Peter Newans said NAB is dedicated to supporting the local community and our partnership with KidzWish means we can help make a difference in the Illawarra; in particular assisting over 50 special kids to enjoy a fun filled day on Sydney Harbour.
Mr Newans said NAB staff are given 2 volunteer days per year as part of our broader focus on the community. Many of these staff are excited to be spending their volunteer days with the special kids of the KidzWish Foundation and seeing their faces light up as they sail around the harbour.
